ATP Media Partners with Kinetiq to Bring Greater Transparency to Global Tennis Broadcast Distribution

Teletrax watermarking technology enables ATP Media to better track how tournament feeds are used by broadcasters worldwide

LONDON and PHILADELPHIA — JUNE 25, 2026 — ATP Media, the broadcast arm of the ATP Tour, today announced a partnership with Kinetiq to implement Teletrax watermarking technology across ATP Tour tournament broadcast feeds, providing new visibility into how live tennis coverage is consumed by broadcasters worldwide.

ATP Media produces multiple live feeds during tournaments from ATP Media Studios, its central production facility in London, including a World Feed that determines the primary broadcast coverage and several Court Feeds covering individual matches or courts. These feeds are distributed globally to broadcast partners, and ATP Media is always seeking to gain greater visibility into which feed rights-holders ultimately air.

Kinetiq’s Teletrax watermarking addresses this challenge by embedding a unique, invisible identifier directly into each feed before distribution. When that signal appears in a broadcast, it can be detected and traced back to the exact source feed, allowing ATP Media to identify precisely which feed is broadcast on a given channel and review the corresponding broadcast footage in near real time.

“The ATP Tour tournaments reach fans across hundreds of broadcasters globally, and understanding how our content is used across that ecosystem is increasingly important,” said Jules Bernays, Insights Director. “By implementing Teletrax watermarking technology, we gain much greater visibility into which feeds are actually aired, helping us better manage distribution, support our broadcast partners, and ensure the value of our content and sponsors is fully understood.”

The partnership gives ATP Media enhanced visibility into how its tournament feeds are used by broadcasters worldwide, helping the organization:

● Understand feed usage, distribution patterns and rights-holder usage by identifying whether broadcasters air the World Feed or select individual Court Feeds

● Optimize production based on Court utilization

● Verify sponsor exposure and support accurate reporting in markets where virtual advertising overlays vary by region

● Measure downstream exposure and reach by tracking when ATP footage appears in highlights or news coverage

● Track TV mentions and commentary by searching broadcast coverage to identify when ATP Tour tournaments, players, or storylines are discussed across news and sports programming

“Modern sports production involves multiple simultaneous feeds, regionalized broadcasts, and increasingly complex global distribution,” said Kevin Kohn, CEO of Kinetiq. “By embedding watermarking directly into each feed, organizations like ATP Media can see exactly how their content is used in live broadcast environments — bringing much-needed transparency to content distribution, sponsorship exposure, and the true reach of live sports.”

This partnership reflects a growing need across global sports organizations to better understand how live content travels through the broadcast ecosystem and beyond. Many federations distribute multiple simultaneous feeds to rights-holders worldwide but have limited visibility into which version is ultimately aired, especially when re-aired or in the form of highlights across the social platforms. Watermarking provides a reliable way to track feed usage in live broadcast environments, helping organizations monitor distribution, validate sponsor exposure, and better understand how their content reaches audiences.
